Customer notice: Coronavirus latest update

We are delighted to announce that from Wednesday 2 December 2020 we are able to reopen our centres.

Throughout December you will need to pre-book online for all activities. This will now include booking your gym slot prior to attending, all fitness classes and swimming. Our booking will open Monday 30 November 2020 at 10am and will allow booking 3 days in advance. Book online now.

Aspirations and Golf Memberships

We will be unfreezing all memberships from the above date to allow usage of our facilities. As a member you will have usage in December but we will not be charging any membership fees in December. Your first direct debit will be taken in January 2021 on your usual collection date.

Not ready to return?

That’s not a problem. If you would like to remain frozen you will need to refreeze your membership. We will be contacting all of our members individually to make them aware how they can do this. Please don’t panic though we will be taking no direct debits in December.

Unfortunately Stirchley Recreation centre will remain closed at this moment in time but we are working towards re-opening this facility in January 2021 with this in mind we will not be recommencing Stirchley’s Direct Debit members and further information will be sent to these members.

Perhaps you already have some questions about your membership, or what to expect? We will be releasing our Frequently asked questions soon… watch this space.

Swimming Lessons

Due to the timing of the reopening and the fact we usually have a Christmas break we will not be starting lessons until January 2021. We will be in touch with all our swimming lessons members individually.

Important information

Anyone feeling unwell with symptoms potentially associated with the COVID-19 virus should NOT attend the site under any circumstances.

You are respectfully requested to adhere to these conditions at all times, as the process may be monitored to ensure we are complying with the restrictions.

Anyone not abiding by these guidelines may be asked to leave the facility and future bookings not permitted.

Aspirations members – your membership

Because we’re not automatically resuming all direct debits, to use our leisure facilities or to pre book online for any activities (up to 3 days in advance) you will need to contact direct.debitadministrator@telford.gov.uk to resume your membership. This includes all direct debit memberships and pre-paid annual memberships.

You will need to do this before you can pre-book your gym slot or fitness class online, which will be available 3 days in advance.

Membership options for you

We recognise that we can’t provide our full Aspirations offer right now. So as a valued member, here are your options:

  • we won’t be automatically resuming any Direct Debits without your permission. Perhaps you’re still shielding, or you don’t feel too comfortable coming into the gym or a fitness environment right now? That’s okay, we appreciate everybody will make their own journey back
  • if you’re keen to get back to it, and it makes sense to resume your direct debit we will be reducing monthly membership prices by £5pcm. For example:
    • standard membership per month:  £24.50
    • corporate / concession per month:  £20
  • you can resume your direct debit or pre-paid annual membership by emailing direct.debitadministrator@telford.gov.uk with your name, address and membership number.
  • please note: you won’t be able to pre book online without resuming your membership first.
  • our pay as you go options will still be available to members and non-members at the normal price. You can find these prices on our membership page.
