Customer notice: Coronavirus latest update

Due to the latest Government restrictions all of our Leisure Centres and Telford Ice Rink remain closed until further notice. Any customers who pay on a quarterly or annual cash basis will have their membership extended to compensate for the closure and will membership direct debits remain froze during this time. We are delighted that Horsehay Village Golf Centre, Telford Ski and Snowboard Centre will re-open under Government guidance from Monday 29 March 2021. Membership direct debits for these services will resume from this date.

If you are not ready to return just yet though, that’s not a problem. Please refreeze your membership.

I’m sure you can appreciate the situation we find ourselves in is constantly changing but we will keep you informed about our plans to re-open under Government guidance. Please make sure you are following us on Facebook and signed up to our email list to receive the latest news.

Whilst our facilities are closed we are delivering an online facebook fitness class programme, download the fitness class timetable.

Badminton

Important announcement regarding local COVID alert level: high (Tier 2)

The Government has now announced that from 00.01am on Saturday 31 October 2020 that Telford and Wrekin will be moving from Local COVID alert level: medium (Tier 1) to Local COVID alert level: high (Tier 2). This means that adults can only play if from the same household or social bubble.

Before you arrive

Please be aware of the following information before you arrive to play:

  • only customers who have pre-booked will be permitted entrance to the centre.  Where an adult is accompanying a child and spectating this is limited to one adult per child
  • please have your proof of booking ready to show staff  - we will need to see this before we can let you in
  • please arrive with the kit you are intending to play in already on – changing rooms and showers will not be available
  • if you usually take a water bottle into the sports hall please make sure you have filled it up at home - there will not be water fountain facilities available
  • we will not be able to loan out any equipment.

During your game

  • Stay at least two metres away from other players (including during play) as far as possible, when taking breaks and before and after play.
  • Do not make physical contact with other players (such as shaking hands or high fiving).
  • Avoid chasing the shuttle down towards another court if other players are using it.
  • For doubles, consider agreeing in advance which player will take the shot if a shuttle travels to the centre of the court.

After your game

  • Please leave the sports hall promptly when asked to do so by staff at the end of the session and leave the facility following any directional signage.
