Newport Swimming Pool closure pool closure from 6 December 2021 – April 2022

Please note: the facilities will be closed from Monday 6 December 2021 with an anticipated reopening of the gym from the end of March and the pool from the end of April 2022.

Work will be carried out as part of the council’s commitment to becoming carbon neutral by 2030 – find out more information from our Newrooms article.

Existing Newport aspirations members:

• memberships will be froze from December (Newport members only)
• if you have a quarterly or annual membership, we will automatically add any lost time onto your membership once we reopen
• whilst the facilities at Newport are closed, you will be able to make use of any of our other aspirations sites at Wellington, Oakengates, Abraham Darby, Horsehay, Dawley and Stirchley. Due to the location of these facilities and the inconvenience there will be no charge for your use of these facilities during this period.

Newport swimming lessons:

• memberships will be froze from December
• we will be contacting all current Swim4Life families who are enrolled on lessons in Newport with details of potential alternative provision from January 2022.
