Disney inspired swim sessions

We've teamed up with Swim England to create Disney inspired Frozen 2 swim sessions for the whole family! Here's some frequently asked questions if you'd like to know more about these Disney inspired sessions:

What are the Disney inspired family fun swim sessions? A 45 minute (and hour has been set aside on the programme to allow for getting the session ready and changing over afterwards) family fun session led by a trained activator. The session is made up of a number of activities inspired by Disney storytelling, Frozen 2 characters and essential swimming skills.
Is it a swimming lesson? No, it is a family fun session. The activities are based on the Swim England essential swimming skills, but it’s more about building kids’ confidence in the water and having fun.
What age are the sessions for? Designed with 3 - 11 years in mind. An adult must be in attendance, even if the child is over 8 years old, and they can get as involved as they like (the sessions are all about having family fun in the water).
What swimming ability is required? None. We would advise your child is confident in water but all activities are suitable to do with or without swimming aids.
Will swimming aids be provided? Parents are welcome to bring their own swimming aids and we will make available swim rings and woggles.
When are your sessions running? Abraham Darby Sports and Leisure Centre:
  • Sunday 10.45am – 11.45am.
Newport Swimming Pool:
  • Sunday 2pm – 3pm.
Oakengates Leisure Centre:
  • Saturday 2.15pm -3.15pm.
Wellington Civic and Leisure Centre:
  • Thursday 11am - 11.45am
  • Sunday 4pm – 4.45pm.
